# CS-60: Voice-first app for low-literacy users

Category: Inclusion & everyday access
Level: Advanced
Suggested duration: 6–8 weeks

Original UXCharan practice scenario. Validate assumptions; do not present it as a commissioned client project.

## Problem
A fictional job-matching service is text-heavy, so many intended users can't use it independently. Explore a voice- and picture-led experience for finding and applying to local work, in the user's own language.

## People to learn from
Daily-wage workers with limited reading ability who use smartphones mainly for calls and video

## Core scope
- Describe skills by voice
- browse nearby jobs with pictures and audio
- apply or call the employer

## Research questions
- How do people find daily work today?
- Which icons, sounds and words do they recognise and trust?

## Edge cases
- Background noise during voice input
- dialect not recognised
- fake or unsafe job listing

## Specific artefact
An audio-first interaction model with visual confirmation

## Evaluation question
Can participants find and apply for a suitable job without reading text or asking for help?

## Work to share
Problem and role; anonymised evidence; alternatives and rationale; task flow; prototype; accessibility considerations; testing findings; revisions and honest limitations.
